Direction
Shaping a clear brief and understanding of what makes you tick.
Some people have a very clear sense of how they want their space to look or feel, others are daunted by not knowing where to start, and the long list of decisions required.
This first stage of our process sees us partner with you to shape a clear design direction. Great design is personal, and stirs a reaction that makes you feel good about a space and the way it frames how you spend time. We build a detailed picture of the practical needs of a space, as much as the aspirations you have for it, to agree the brief for design work.
The outcome of this stage is a visual concept of the look and feel, which acts as a foundation to underpin all design decisions from colours, to materials and textures. It’s an important starting point to create a unique and coherent design, whatever the space.
Detail
Developing a detailed design scheme, ready for work to begin.
Once the design direction has been agreed, we’ll compose a scope of work outlining the key interior design requirements of the space. This sets the direction for detailed design schemes that will equip you with everything you need for work to begin.
The design direction is built on and refined to inform the detailed design schemes that are presented to you with sample boards and visuals. A detailed design pack is tailored to the scope of the project, but can include:
Scale drawings to help plan and brief key elements - furniture layouts, elevations, kitchen and bathroom plans, electrical and lighting plans
Detailed visuals
3D room visuals
Development of bespoke carpentry design
Itemised sourcing list of all design elements - everything you need to make the designs a reality
Delivery
Helping make it all happen - from concept to reality.
The final stage takes the approved design and brings it to life. This is something you may want to do yourself, or an area where you’d like project support to coordinate the work in order to deliver the design as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Project coordination support is tailored to the requirements of the project, but can include:
Compiling and overseeing a master schedule of works for all suppliers and contractors involved in interior design works
Briefing of contractors and project set-up
Implementation of sourcing list, benefiting from purchase at trade rates
Regular site visits and design consultancy on call
