Process

1_ Design Direction

Some people have a very clear sense of how they want their space to look or feel, others are daunted by not knowing where to start, and the long list of decisions required. Instagram and Pinterest may lead you to a large collection of images that inspire you, but translating that feeling to your own space, and doing it in a way that is unique to you, takes a lot of work.

This first stage of our process is focused on building a clear and coherent understanding of your style aspirations to shape the overall design direction of your space.

The outcome of this stage is a visual concept of the look and feel, as a foundation to underpin all design decisions from colours, to flooring, lighting and fabrics. It’s an important starting point to create a unique and coherent design, whatever the space.

A scope of work outlining the key interior design requirements of the space is also put together at this stage.

2_ Design Details

The second stage builds the design direction into a complete design scheme for your space. This equips you with everything you’ll need for work to begin.

Detailed design schemes will be presented to you with sample boards and visuals. A detailed design pack is tailored to the scope of the project, but can include -

  • Scale drawings to help plan and brief key elements - layouts, elevations, kitchen / bathroom plans, electrical / lighting plans

  • 3D room visualisations

  • Development of bespoke carpentry design

  • Itemised sourcing list of all design elements - everything you need to make the designs a reality

3_ Design Implementation

The final stage takes the approved design and brings it to life. This is something you may want to do yourself, or an area where you feel you’d benefit from support to keep things moving as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Project co-ordination support is tailored to the requirements of the project, but can include -

  • Compiling and overseeing a master schedule of works for all suppliers and contractors involved in interior design works

  • Briefing of contractors / project set-up

  • Implementation of sourcing list, benefiting from purchase at trade rates

  • Regular site visits and design consultancy on call Home styling
