Highgate House
( 2026 )

A 4,000 sq ft Arts & Crafts home that hadn’t been updated for over thirty years, reimagined from the ground up for a new generation. Generous bones, an exceptional setting, and a floor plan that no longer served the life being lived in it. Our task was to fix that without losing what made the house what it was.

Details

We approached the redesign as though clearing the building back to its shell, then rebuilt the floor plan with intention. Five principles guided every decision: flow, connect, play, gather, relax. The ground floor was opened across the full rear — kitchen, dining and family living — drawing naturally toward the garden, while the front gained a quieter grown-up living room with clear sight lines through. Upstairs, a generous principal suite and kids spaces replaced a fragmented layout. The top floor became a flexible zone for work, play and hosting. Over twenty bespoke joinery pieces, all designed by us, set the character and pace of the home across every level.
