Eynham Road
( 2023 )

A full refurbishment and reconfiguration of a four-bedroom split-level apartment that lacked flow and personality. We gave it both to create a family home that drawed on our clients' African heritage, bringing joy, warmth and meaning into a space that now feels entirely and unapologetically theirs.

Details

Split-level apartments can sometimes resist natural movement with floors that disconnect and layouts that canwork against family life. We reconfigured the flow of the house and filled the space with colour: a cobalt blue sofa, terracotta rugs, burnt orange, sage green, navy throughout. Handmade ceramics, oak, terrazzo and fluted wood ground the colour and give it textural weight. Each room has its own character; the apartment as a whole has a single point of view. Vibrant, considered, personal.
